Why this exists, and who it is for
I live in Burwell and I run Wax Away on my own. I take the booking, I drive to the house, and I do the work myself. There is no receptionist, no agency, and nobody sent in my place.
Most earwax removals happen on a high street. That works if you can drive, park, and sit in a waiting room for half an hour. Some people cannot do any of those three, and they are exactly the people whose hearing goes first.
I go the other way round. Everything needed for the visit comes to the house with me — so the client does not have to be organised, driven, or persuaded into a car.
If you are reading this for a parent rather than yourself, book it in your name, put their address in, and be there or not. Whatever works for you.

How I got here
Forty years of ears, more or less
I trained in Dublin and was a registered general nurse for my whole working life.
Early on I spent a year in ENT operating theatres, assisting consultants with major ear surgery.
After I had my children I moved into community nursing, took my district nursing specialist training degree, and worked across many of the villages in East Cambridgeshire.
I also worked in a GP practice, where I carried out ear irrigation regularly.
So the villages on the areas page are not a list I looked up. I have worked in most of them.

I am retired now and no longer on the NMC register, so I work as an ear health practitioner rather than as a nurse.
My background is in nursing, but I am not offering nursing care, and I would rather say so plainly than let you assume otherwise.
